Before joining Tampa Legal Team, Joseph J. Registrato was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969 and served for a year in the Republic of Vietnam during that conflict in 1968 and 1969.  After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he worked as a journalist at The Tampa Tribune and rose to the position of City Editor from 1971 to 1986.   He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida with honors in 1974.  He then attended Stetson University College of Law from 1986 to 1989.  He was a staff member of the Stetson Law Review and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1989. Mr. Registrato was an assistant state attorney at the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office and was also Chief Assistant Public Defender of Hillsborough County.  

Mr. Registrato primarily practices in the areas of Criminal Defense and Family.
